Network preferences

There are two network options that you can adjust.

1. You can permit that TextCite consult a central server in order to find out if there is a new version available. If this option is marked "Yes", the program will advise you when there is a new version available, and will take you to the web page where you can download it.

2. You can control whether TextCite sends usage information to a central database. This information does not contain anything that could identify an individual user. The information that is sent consists of a random unique identifier for each user, the version of the program being used, the program version, and the operating system. This information is used to keep the program developer informed of what languages and operating system versions are a priority for support and improvement.
